D'4.3 - Station for luminescent and optical studies (LOCUS)

The station enables to carry out measurements of transmission, reflectivity and luminescence spectra in the range of energies 3,5 - 25 eV.

The size of samples is up to 6 × 4 × 2 mm. The approximate diameter of the working area of the sample is 4 mm. Samples are cooled by the helium cryostat. The heater and the system for automatic temperature control will be used for the measurements at the intermediate temperatures. Photomultiplier with stained glass filter is used for registration of luminescence excitation. Interference filter also can be used. The secondary monochromator for the range of 220-710 nm is attached with fiber-optic cable to the sample camera for luminescence registration. Besides, the radiation from optical monochromator with the range of 250-710 nm is set up to the sample for expansion of energy range and for the arrangement of conditions for luminescence excitation.
